We enjoyed A BAD YEAR FOR TOMATOES, but most of all we enjoyed watching you have so much fun up there!
How nice to end with a full house! |

I went to see A BAD YEAR FOR TOMATOES last night. It was really entertaining and a good night out was had by all.
The homemade cakes and quiches in the interval made the trip just as worthwhile as the show itself. Highly recomended! |

Once again you have pulled it off. A BAD YEAR FOR TOMATOES is truly what amateur theatricals are all about. Me, who would never chose a comedy play or film, spent most of the time laughing her head off this afternoon. Well done! Terrific Entertainment! |

I happened to be in Haifa in January and came to see LETTICE AND LOVAGE. I could have been in the West End of London. What a superb performance by your leading actress Bertha and what a great supporting cast. Excellent theatre, well done. |

Dear Miss Douffet,
It was such a great pleasure for me to represent you in your recent misunderstanding with PC Harris. So unfortunate that your counsel turned up drunk and disorderly at the trial so that he himself had to be restrained.
I recall quite clearly Justice Gascoigne's words: 'I find it extraordinary that a Queen's Counsel of such standing as yours has nothing better to do than behave like a callow schoolboy.'
Sadly, the upshot was that you were sentenced to 30 years in prison - without doubt a considerable time. But I see that you are serving your sentence gainfully in the prison workshop making rosettes. I appreciate your finding time to send me one.
I should add that the appeal is going badly: Miss Schoen's evidence was ruled out, as she too had been cascading rather too much--quaff? (Is that what it's called?)--and the justices decided that she was unfit to bear witness. Mr Pachmani, by contrast, was lucid and fluent, and gave a full account of all the other noisy events that disturbed his rest. It is very possible that you will be tried for those too.
I myself have indulged in new bowler hat, and a side drum.
With very best wishes for a happy future,
I remain yours faithfully,
Cuthbert Bardolph |

I'm extremely glad that I made the effort to travel to Haifa to see LETTICE AND LOVAGE. You were magnificent! Absolutely magnificent! Needless to say, I especially enjoyed "Un cheval! Un cheval..." |
